The Health Sciences Centre for Surgical Innovation got a financial boost today.
The Asper Foundation presented a cheque for 200 thousand dollars.
The centre, which opened in 2013, is one of only seven such facilities in the world.
President of the Asper Foundation, Gail Asper, hopes the investment will help Manitobans have a health care system they can rely on in their greatest time of need.
Among the research programs underway are studies of traumatic brain injury and multiple sclerosis.
