Vancouver Police are putting out more information as they investigate the suspicious death of a homeless man.

So far police say they've had no luck tracking down the family of the 55-year-old man found dying in the alley behind 930 Richards Street.

They hope by revealing his name someone will come forward.

His name is Thomas Sawyer and he was known to sell flowers around downtown and Yaletown.

He died in hospital but the cause of death hasn't been determined.

Police say he suffered severe internal injuries.
